However, ran into a slight snag with the new oil pump and lines hitting the K frame.
I cut as much off as I dared trying to gain clearance for the side inlet
But while it goes in there is no room for the fitting or for the line to reach the the pan.
It looks like I might be able to access the rear port if I was to get rid of the stock mounts and do a little cutting.
The rear port seems to line up where the red circle is
My thoughts were if I cut the mount pads off the k frame where the red lines are
And then weld in a piece of steel to reinforce the gear box mount where I have these arrows
If I do all that it looks like I'll gain the room I need to run this system but then I'll be forced to run a motor plate.
Does anyone see a problem with this or maybe see another possible solution that I haven't thought of yet?

I had to do the same to fit the milidon oilpump with duel oil lines
now its a single oil line
now that the moter is out reinforce the steering bracket and box it up
my manual streering box was moving the bracet over when the car was on the ground
theres a lot of strease (sp) there
1.39 9.85 - 137 mph

Earlier K frames must have more room there
I thought about a 90* fitting but can't see it fitting in there.

Another view with the factory mount & brackets bolted on the motor.
Ron
Do you have a pic of it in the car?
DO they make a 90* O ring fitting or did you piece something together?

Bill, I have the same k-frame as you.
It will fit but you have to grind some scallops out of that bracing. I'm even running power steering on mine....it's tight but it does fit.

What fitting did you use in the pump cover?

Dwayne put the oiling system together so i'm not sure exactly what he used on the back of the pump ?
I don't have any pics of it in the car unfortunately. It took several trial fits to get it just right. I'm using factory rubber biscuit mounts that have been re-inforced so i don't know if that makes a difference or not.

Bill, it's time for one of Andy's 3/8" motor plates
I would need another pair of pump gaskets then
